Hi All,
Just a little bit about me. I'm 44 and hail from the old, small, cow town in Washington State called Kent. It isn't small anymore, which is a shame. I attended Kent-Meridian HS and received my diploma in 1983. I studied psychology and journalism at Green River CC, Highline CC and Pacific Lutheran Univ. After leaving college, I did the most obvious thing next... I bought a "Beauty Salon" and named it HOBNOGGINS. Get it? Hob-noggins? I can't take the credit, or the blame. My sister, Leslie, hooked me up with the idea. Not all my experiences in the beauty business were bad, just most of it. Currently, I'm trying to market a product I created to help high school athletes who want to play sports in college, get scholarships. It's in data CD format and is literally a "road map" teaching the fundamentals and providing the college contacts. Please refer to this blog email address or logon to my website on the World Wide Web to get more information.
I love sports of all kinds, including; basketball, baseball, and the Olympic Games, but football and tennis are my favorites. I sustained a severe spinal cord injury when I was in high school, so I shifted my focus from athlete to fan; I'm a huge Miami Dolphins fan and the NY Yankees were my favorite baseball team, but because I live in the Seattle area, I root for the Seahawks and the Mariners. The Supersonics have left Seattle for Oklahoma City, so I can pretty much choose whomever I want to root for. I'm thinking the Mavericks. Mark Cuban is an honest, free thinker and doesn't care about public perception or being politically correct. I believe you should just say it as it is. Hey, perhaps that would be a good "Blog Title". Aside from sports, I like to cook and eat out at restaurants. Eating out is getting expensive and not real practical... gas prices are killing us. Well, that's a bit about me. I have an opinion on practically everything, but I don't think I'm opinionated. I just feel too many people choose the safe route. Like Ronald Reagan once said to Mikhail Gorbechev: "You can disagree without being disagreeable." Wise Words, Ronny!
Please, I would love to hear your thoughts on whatever you feel is discussion-worthy.
Bye for now...
Brad
Achtung Tennis Welt: Tommy Haas has advanced to the semifinals of the Wimbledon championships. One of the oldest players in ATP tennis, Tommy will face the heavily favored Roger Federer who seeks his 6th Wimbledon trophy. Haas is a front runner for the comeback player of the year, at 31, and has looked very sharp in the last two tournaments; Defeating Novak Djokovic at Halle, Germany, last month and of course today at Wimbledon. Tommy is raising a lot of eyebrows in London and around the world.
